The name Club 47 honors the pivotal year 1947, marking the rebirth of Ferrari and the resilience of post-war Italy.
In 1943, Enzo Ferrari relocated his operations to Maranello. However, during World War II, the factory was bombed in 1944 and again in 1945, leading to significant destruction. Undeterred, Ferrari rebuilt the facility in 1946. By 1947, he introduced the Ferrari 125 S, the first car to bear his name, powered by a revolutionary V12 engine. That same year, Ferrari secured its first victory at the Rome Grand Prix.
